CIO Magazine published interview with ASBIS Bulgaria General Manager Mitko Topalov

Mitko Topalov, ASBIS: 20 years ago and now the greatest value and pride of the company are its employees

ASBIS was established in 1990 in Belarus and entered the Bulgarian market in 1998. Each of the team members was clearly aware that he was embarking on a risky adventure, but it was the ambition to do something new, useful and memorable that motivated us.

A lot of challenges were ahead of us: competition was not regulated, taxes were “saved” by many market players at the time. And most important: we had to build a strongly motivated team with similar values and vision for the future of the company.

The years that followed were years of enthusiasm and inspiration. ASBIS Bulgaria positioned itself as a good and trusted distributor, constantly increasing its portfolio and customer base. To escape from the direct competition, CANYON and PRESTIGIO were introduced and developed very successfully as ASBIS Group own brands. And new own brands continue to enrich our portfolio. At the same time strong brands like DELL, Microsoft, INTEL, AMD, Kingston, WD and others remain the base of our volume business.

Through the years there were many failures and more success stories, paving the way of the company to nowadays. And ASBIS is still here and stronger than before! Because the most important pride value are the people in the company! There can be no satisfied customers if the people in the company are not happy, appreciated and satisfied.
