Intel, the world's largest semiconductor company and the inventor of the x86 series of microprocessors, proudly recognizes ASBIS for achieving the highest sales of network adapters in CSEER during the 1st half of 2001.

ASBIS received the award from IBM,a multinational computer technology and consulting corporation, in recognition of outstanding commitment to the sale and support of IBM Storage Products.

Intel named ASBIS to be the authorised distributor of Intel branded products in Eastern European Region for year 2000.

Sergey Kostevich, president of Asbis, a Cyprus-based component distributor, says: "The demand is there. It is just a question of fulfilling it." Mr Kostevich, a Belarusian academic researcher, is an example of entrepreneurial drive. He started his business supplying friends and acquaintances in Minsk. Now he employs 280 in a region-wide network which is this year forecast to have a turnover of $260m.

Intel named ASBIS to be the fastest growing distributor in EMEA region.On March 1, the Intel Corporation recognized Asbis for the highest dollar growth in CPU sales in 1999 among all Intel distributors in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

ASBIS received the award from IBM as the fastest growing distributor in EMEA region.
